Leyburn Arts and Community Centre are looking for volunteers to help with deliveries of their regular monthly flyer.

The areas around the community include Aysgarth, Bainbridge, Hunton, Hawes and Constable Burton.

The flyers are a good way of maintaining the centre's help to people who live around the Dales, and to share upcoming social, arts and community events.

The Glusburn Institute Community and Arts Centre(GICAC) is a cornerstone of creativity and connection in the Aire Valley and are inviting applications for new Trustees to join their board.

The role is voluntary and flexible with opportunities to contribute in areas such as governance, fundraising, marketing, finance and community engagement.

Bentham Older People Together are on the lookout for friendly volunteers to help their wonderful bus users get to the golf club. It’s a great way to meet people, have some laughs, and make a real difference in our community!

It’s easy to fit in—on a rota about once every 5 weeks, spending 1.5 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon with their cheerful drivers.

Craven Wildlife Rescue are in need of dedicated volunteers to join their 30 strong team.

At the moment it's baby season in the wildlife world and their main focus is on the care of the little ones.

As a volunteers you would be helping to give extra support with their housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidying, hanging the washing out, filling and emptying the dish washer, keeping everything topped up and organising the store room.

There are both morning and evening roles available based at Horton in Ribblesdale.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority are looking for volunteers to join their team at the National Park Visitor Centres in Grassington, Aysgarth and Malham.

You could be part of their Meet and Greet and Tramper support teams.

As a volunteer you will help to welcome and assist visitors and encourage respectful enjoyment of this special landscape.

A new position for 2025 is two all-terrain Trampers who help visitors with limited mobility to enjoy and explore the Dales.

Volunteers are needed on weekends and bank holidays.

Growing with Grace are a community cooperative farm based in Clapham and are dedicated to supplying sustainably grown produce to local people and businesses including Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.

They are always looking to welcome new volunteers especially people who work well independently, as they do not have the time to offer constant one-to-one support for volunteers.

If you fancy working in the glasshouses and getting experience of producing veg on a large scale or in another role such as the office, shop or packing shed then please get in touch. They will even reward you for your time in the form of some vegetables!

Dementia Forward has a great volunteering opportunity to help people in the community.

They are looking for volunteer minibus drivers on Friday afternoons who can pick people up from Richmond town centre and take them to the hub community cafe for an afternoon of good company, activities and refreshments.

Drivers must have a full license and be over 25 years old.

Due to the great success of last year's Bentham bonfire, they are recruiting volunteers to join their brand-new drumming group.  As part of the group you will be involved in the amazing atmosphere as you get everyone warmed up and in the mood for the big event. The drummers will lead the parade before the lighting of the bonfire, and again before the spectacular fireworks.

No experience is necessary, and all instruments will be provided.
Regular practice sessions will be needed to learn the rhythms, and a reasonable level of mobility is needed because you will be walking with the instruments at night.

Holme Grown Community Garden in Eastby near Skipton always welcomes new volunteers to help with various tasks. It's also a great opportunity for anyone doing The Duke of Edinburgh award and especially with Summer here!

The sessions really are a great social event; no gardening experience is needed, just the willingness to have a go!

A great community project has been set up in Skipton, The Holy Trinity and Community Poppy Project 2026.

This huge project is going to be super exciting for anyone involved and that could be you!

Can you knit or crochet? If the answer is yes, then they need your help!

They need volunteers to help make a stunning cascade of knitted and crochet red poppies to adorn Holy Trinity Church for Remembrance Sunday 2026.

They will have drop-in sessions at the church cafe every first Tuesday of the month starting in April between 10am and midday.

Or you can pop into the church and drop them off in the box next to the bench at the back.

The Folly in Settle are looking to recruit some new volunteers to welcome the public to their museum?

Here's the details:

They're looking for some new people to volunteer in their Visitor Welcome role that involves:

• Greeting visitors when they arrive

• Telling people a little bit about The Folly and the museum

• Using the till to count visitors and sell shop products

• Opening up or closing the museum, depending on the time of day.

Full training and a volunteer mentor are provided. You don’t need to stick to a particular day or time. Shifts are either morning (11am-1pm) or afternoon (1-4pm).

Volunteers get a range of excellent benefits, including:

• Free tea, coffee or soft drink while on duty

• 10% discount in our shop and café

• Expenses for travel to The Folly

• Opportunities to visit other museums and historic houses
